Tara & Josh – Pensacola Old Christ Church Wedding Photography – 2010

Tara and Josh heard about Captured Art through one of Justin’s friends.  After meeting with Tara they decided to go with us as their Pensacola Wedding Photography team (and lucky for us they did, they were a great couple!).  Unfortunately Heather didn’t get the opportunity to meet with Josh before the wedding, but everything Tara said about him was true, he is a great guy and a Phish Fan to boot.  The Ceremony took place at the Old Christ Church Tara even got in a bit of a surprise.  During the ceremony she slipped a wedding band onto Josh’s finger that he had been wanting but didn’t know she had purchased.  It was a great moment. They also exchanged white roses that each would keep with them and put in a special place after the wedding.  They will be forever with them as reminders of their love when times are tough.  How romantic is that? After some group shots (which are always great at Pensacola’s Old Christ Church) we headed over to Soiree for the reception.  A full candy bar was setup with go bags filled with goodies for the guests and bridal party dancing involving costumes and the YMCA song.  Needless to say, they were extremely fun! As the couple left for their Honeymoon in Mexico the guests lined up to toss flower petals at them.  It was a magical day filled with romantic gestures and high octane fun.  Thank you Tara and Josh for letting Captured Art be your Pensacola Wedding Photographers!

Maegan & Dustin – Pensacola Fair Engagement Photography – 2009

Maegan and Dustin called Heather and wanted to do something truly unique for their Pensacola Engagement Photography session.  Luckily the Pensacola Interstate Fair was right around the corner and the couple decided they wanted to go for the gusto!  It also doesn’t hurt that “Fair Season” is Heather’s favorite time of the year.  Not to mention its such a great location for getting so many interesting shots.  The biggest challenge shooting an engagement shoot at the Fair is making sure the couple is as fun as the background.  Maegan and Dustin had no problem with this and were having a blast.  They really made the photo shoot come to life with their energetic personalities and made it that much more fun for us.  Heather wasn’t too upset that she had to ride several rides to get the shots needed.  All this while I had to wait for them ;)   It was a lot of fun and we hope some more brides decide to go with the Pensacola Fair as their engagement location, if only for Heather’s sake.  Thank you Maegan and Dustin for choosing Captured Art as your Pensacola Engagement Photographers.  We’ll see you soon for your upcoming wedding!

Lindsey & Sean – Pensacola Beach Wedding Photography – 2009

As Lindsey and Sean’s Pensacola Beach Wedding Photography team we were pleasantly surprised that it was taking place at such a beautiful location, Our Lady of Assumption, on Pensacola beach. The ceremony itself was an eloquent and formal Catholic affair but even given its formal nature, it couldn’t keep Lindsey and Sean from stealing smiling glances from one another throughout the entire ceremony. Immediately after the ceremony, the bridal party was ready to kick things up by having a little toast outside the church to the bride and groom.  It was to set the tone for a great night!  The reception was held at Hemmingway’s on the beach and the decorations included woven fans and place holders made from lemons and limes.  All in all it exuded a very tropical and laid back feel. We are always amazed at how different every event is and Lindsey and Sean’s was no exception.  The bridal party all had planned a special entrance when they were announced.  Some danced, others strutted and one even got rejected and pretended to faint.  After dinner and cake (which Sean cut with his sword) the dancing began and lasted well into the night.  It was a memorable wedding and we appreciate that you chose Captured Art as your Pensacola Beach Wedding Photographers!

Vanessa & Jeffery – Pensacola NAS Officers Club Wedding Photography – 2009

We got word from Suzanne at Marry Me Rentals that a military couple, Vanessa and Jeffery, were looking for a Pensacola Wedding Photographer for their special day at the NAS Officer’s Club.  We were more than happy to help out our friends at Marry Me Rentals so even though we didn’t get a chance to meet the happy couple prior to the wedding day we worked out all of the details over the phone.  When we arrived at the NAS Officer’s Club we found that it was set up as a small intimate affair and of course Suzanne’s beautiful touch was evident. We were very impressed with the details and decorations right down to the table with godiava chocolates wrapped in a aqua bows. The ceremony took place on the beach behind the O’ club and was a very romantic affair.  Vanessa & Jeffery were married by his father which only added to the intimacy of the event.  If you’ve never been to the O’ club your missing a great location.  It has a scenic beach and several reception rooms that are able to handle different sized events.  After the wedding the couple and guests retreated inside to one of those reception areas and enjoyed cake and dancing.  Thank you Vanessa and Jeffery for choosing Captured Art as your Pensacola Wedding Photographers and for letting us be a part of your lovely day!

Mary & Kevin – Pensacola Engagement Photography – 2009

It was such a pleasure to be chosen as the Pensacola wedding photographer for Mary and Kevin. They always seem to have a great attitude and are very natural around each other. We decided to do this session by and on for that matter, the graffiti bridge in Pensacola. We started off with some serious, romantic poses, but my goal was for them to have fun goofing off because I wanted to capture their playfulness. I give them kudos for sticking with me. We must have picked the hottest day to shoot! They had to climb rocks, walk on a questionable railroad track and put up with the heat. While I began to think “what did we get ourselves into”, Kevin and Mary started humming the hymnal “Oh Happy Day”. They weren’t going to let a little heat get them down, so neither was I. We broke out the bubbles that I had brought from home and they sat on the track blowing bubbles without a care in the world. By the end of the Pensacola engagement photography shoot we got everything we had hoped to get. Thanks again Mary and Kevin for such a “happy day”.
